Morning visit to the giant Buddha Dordenma statue (51.5 meters tall bronze Buddha overlooking Thimphu valley) and the National Memorial Chorten. Later, drive over Dochula Pass (3,100m) adorned with 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. On clear days, marvel at panoramic views of Bhutan's eastern Himalayas. Descend to the subtropical valley of Punakha.

Visit the breathtaking Punakha Dzong situated at the holy confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Walk across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan fluttering with prayer flags. Afterwards, proceed towards Paro valley. Stop en route at Tachogang Lhakhang and its historic iron chain suspension bridge. Evening free to explore Paro craft town.

Embark on Bhutan's most iconic experience: a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), clinging to a sheer cliff 900 meters above the Paro valley floor. Take a tea break midway at the cafeteria with breathtaking views of the monastery. Reach the sacred shrines blessed by Guru Padmasambhava in the 8th century. In the evening, relax with an optional traditional Bhutanese Hot Stone Herbal Bath.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Transfer to Paro International Airport (PBH) for your flight OR drive downhill back across Phuentsholing border to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway station for your onward return journey, taking home the peace and blessings of the Thunder Dragon.
